Youth Ministries
Here at WPC we are passionate about one thing: knowing and loving Jesus. Our aim in Youth Ministry is to faithfully introduce students to the grace of Christ and call them towards a life of obedient worship. We believe that God is good, the Bible is His unchanging word, and redemption is offered to all.

Regular activities are offered in the hope of EQUIPPING believers, CONNECTING students and adults, and REACHING our world. These activities include large-group meetings, smaller discipleship groups, and special monthly events. We also believe students to be a vital part of our larger church body, and purpose to give them a place, not just in a youth ministry, but in the church of Jesus.

Other WPC Youth Websites
WPC Youth maintains our own website with photos, activities listings, leader bios and much more. Visit our WPC Atlanta Youth WREC site for more information on activities, leaders, philosophy and more.

One of our favorite things to do is to hang out with each other, have fun and laugh; another is to document it. Visit our SmugMug Site for photos of our good times. Lots of them.

Regular Activities

WREC

A weekly large-group meeting for students in grades 6-12. You can expect a time of fellowship, corporate singing, and a lesson from the Bible. Each week's lesson points to the person of Jesus as Lord and Savior. And because of Jesus, we’re able to give grace (REACH), speak grace (EQUIP), share grace (CONNECT), and exalt the grace-giver (WORSHIP). Grace enables us to be relevant to both the believer and unbeliever, grants the group a perfect unity, and spontaneously inclines our hearts towards worship.
TIME: 6-7:30PM
PLACE: Ivy Hill
CURRENT STUDY: The Gospel of Mark
TEACHER: Jason Stephenson

Sunday School

Each Sunday morning, our church gathers for Sunday School before the morning worship service. Grades 6-12 are currently meeting together as one class and studying Jesus' Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5-7). The lesson provides a preview and background to Dr. Frost's sermon during the worship service, and encourages students to activitely engage in what's being taught. It's been a great time of examining the most famous sermon of the best preacher that ever lived!
TIME: 9:30-10:30AM
PLACE: Ivy Hill
TEACHER: Jason Stephenson

D-Group & G-Group

All girls in middle and high school are invited to join us on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of every month for a time to study God's word and spend time with each other. It runs from 7:30-9:00PM at Ivy Hill and is led by Liz Gibson. We will be working through Tim Keller's I John study this year.

Because D-group is "for girls", Isaac is leading a guys-group (or gee-group)! It also meets on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month, at the home of Jason Stephenson from 7:30-9:00PM.

Service Saturdays

New this year, we'll be spending time on the second Saturday of each month serving the needs of the communities around our church. It might be volunteering with the Nicholas House, cleaning up in the neighborhood, or visiting folks at the assisted-living facility. We'll also often hang around afterwards to have lunch, or bowl, or who knows. Each month is different; email Jason for information on upcoming activites!

SLT

Our Student Leadership Team is open to all Juniors and Seniors who have demonstrated personal faith in Jesus, desire to see their gifts strongly used in our youth ministry, and are able to meet each month to assist in the planning and execution of ministry activities.
TIME: Last Sunday of the Month
PLACE: Lunch after Church
